Sacrifice, Chapter 26

Sister Annette Shaw gave a great lesson today on Sacrifice. "Sacrifice means giving to the Lord whatever He requires of our time, our earthly possessions, and our energies to further His work." I am always touched to hear of the sacrifices of our Pioneers. They understood this truth and willingly did what was asked of them. They are a reminder that with the Lord, we can endure, no matter the trial, and will be ever imporved. "Only through sacrifice can we become worthy to live in the presence of God."

Thanks everyone for the great participation in our Tuesday RS meeting! The meals from your cupboards were great, and can you believe we had too much?! Hopefully, your families were very appreciative to those of you who brought food back home:) A couple of websites mentioned: http://www.everydayfoodstorage.net/ (check out her 3 month supply list to help get your in order), http://www.bountifulbaskets.com/ (order a laundry size amount of produce on Mondays at 12:00pm and pick up locally on Saturday...all for $15.00), http://www.bereadyutah.gov/ (printable family communication plans). Let's all make it our goal to prepare those great car kits and 72 hour kits for our families, Janet just won't have enough if we all show up at her door!!! Finally, if you would like to order the 7-month first aid kit (very extensive and complete), contact Judy Larsen so she can add you to the list.
